Tectonic Echoes is a 50-second moving-image work built around a series of digital sculptures conceived by Minorstep for the studio’s rebrand. Created with Hardlait, the forms connect the restraint of ancient Cycladic art with the hand-drilled concrete textures of London’s Barbican Estate, reflecting George Kroustallis’s Greek heritage and adopted London life. Rough dark surfaces, bodily voids and shifting profiles move between organic and constructed states. Minorstep led creative direction, Luc Belliard developed the 3D modelling, and Alkis Livathinos created a soundscape from sampled Aegean field recordings.
