WORTHWHILE PHOTOS

Not every photo is meant to be immensely popular, or get the most likes.

That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t put it out.

You simply need to have a good reason and a plan, for why you’re putting it out in the world. Not every photo series you shoot gets the same marketing push. (You can replace “photo series” with any kind of creative project you might be involved in.)

Because, maybe you’re uploading a photo so your audience will know you better.

Maybe you’re uploading a photo so your audience will feel excited about telling their friends.

Maybe you’re uploading a photo so the art directors from Kinfolk magazine will take notice.

Maybe you’re uploading a photo to revamp the public perception of you, or steer it in a new direction, or attract a new type of client.

Maybe you’re uploading a photo so your tribe thinks you’re tasteful, smart, up to date, thoughtful, detailed, understated.

In reality, it could be anything. It’s your decision. Before you put it out there.
